Women's Health

Women's Health

Menstrual concerns, menopause symptoms and hormonal changes—discussed in a private, unhurried consultation.

Introduction

Women's health concerns span menstrual irregularities, painful periods, PCOS-related symptoms, pregnancy-related discomfort and the changes of perimenopause and menopause. Many of these are common, but some signal conditions that need medical investigation.

Common symptoms

  • Irregular, heavy, painful or missed periods
  • Hot flushes, night sweats and disturbed sleep around menopause
  • Pelvic pain or unusual discharge
  • Mood changes linked to the menstrual cycle
  • Acne, hair changes or weight gain with irregular cycles

Potential causes

  • Hormonal fluctuations across the cycle and life stages
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and thyroid disorders
  • Fibroids, endometriosis or infections
  • Stress, nutrition, weight changes and sleep
  • Menopause and perimenopause

When to seek urgent medical attention

  • Very heavy bleeding (soaking a pad every hour), or bleeding after menopause
  • Severe pelvic pain, especially with fever or fainting
  • Any bleeding or severe pain during pregnancy
  • A new breast lump or nipple discharge

In an emergency, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital.

Diagnosis and conventional treatment

A gynaecologist may use examination, blood tests (hormones, thyroid, haemoglobin), ultrasound and Pap smears. Conventional management depends on the diagnosis and can include lifestyle measures, medicines, hormonal therapy or procedures.

Scope and limitations of a homeopathic consultation

A homeopathic consultation with Dr. Jain is an opportunity to discuss your history, symptoms and lifestyle in an unhurried setting. Homeopathy has not been shown by reliable scientific evidence to be effective for treating women's health or any other specific medical condition. It should not replace a diagnosis, investigations or treatment from a qualified conventional doctor, and you should never stop prescribed medicines without medical advice.

What the consultation involves

You will be asked about your concern, its history, your medical background, and current medicines. Please bring recent reports. Where appropriate Dr. Jain may advise investigations or a specialist opinion, and you will discuss follow-up guidance before leaving. See the full consultation process.
